The Ranch Pullover is cut from 100% chambray and features a seamless one-piece back, a hallmark of 1880s homemade ranchwear. This design was born of necessity: fewer seams and a simpler pattern meant less tearing under the strain of roping, riding, and rough daily work. It is a significant historical detail we’ve preserved in our recreation, honoring the rugged ingenuity of the original.
We chose a substantial 8oz salt-and-pepper striped chambray, a slightly tougher fabric that reinforces the garment’s utilitarian roots. It will age with character, developing a soft, personal fade that speaks to its longevity. Meanwhile, refined touches like single-needle construction throughout, a half-placket and barrel cuffs fastened with authentic pearl buttons bring a contemporary elegance to this historical piece of ranchwear.
